Cristina Culiolo-Peck, EMDR, LMFT-A, LPC-Intern
I'm best described as being positive, creative, enthusiastic, supportive, and patient. I use these traits to help adults, couples and families heal from their pasts, change how they think and act, and realize their full potential.
In addition to helping adults, couples, and families, I also enjoy counseling teen boys. You may have a son that is struggling with chronic worry, mood swings, behavioral issues, being bullied, isolating himself, drug or alcohol use, truancy, peer pressure, or failing grades. I’d like to help your son get back on track.
I’ve successfully treated clients who struggled with anxiety, panic, depression, and addiction and relapse. In addition to talk therapy, I use modern tools like EMDR*, DBT*, Coaching, and pre-planned sessions outside my office.

~ EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a type of therapy that helps people to heal the symptoms of trauma and disturbing life experiences.
~ Gottman therapy, which is the gold standard for healing and reconnecting couples.
I am training in...
~ DBT (Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy), a cognitive-behavioral treatment, that is used for, among other things, to help people change patterns of behavior that are not helpful.
I used to be a vet! In 1995, I earned my doctor of veterinary medicine in Italy. Later, I changed my focus from healing animals to helping humans. So, I returned to school and earned my masters degree at St. Edwards University.

When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my kids, being outdoors, traveling, painting, and writing children’s stories. .
